Biography
Identifying as a black, lesbian , feminist, scholar activist, I am the Head of Subject at London Metropolitan University overseeing Psychology, Social Work and Youth Courses.
A visionary leader, my work spans over 25 years in Social Work education, marked by a profound commitment to equity, creativity and transformational pedagogy. My leadership is defined by an ability to fuse sustained academic excellence with social justice.
As Academic Lead and Challenge Champion for London Met Labs, Empowering London I endeavour to tackle all areas of discrimination. I am the founder of the inclusionary Rainbow Room, a trailblazing initiative providing a safe social, educative and meeting space for LGBTQ+ students, staff and local communities. The Rainbow Room exemplifies my commitment to be a catalyst for change within the sector and a champion for justice.
