Pete Hannam
Biography
I am a data and technology leader with over 20 years’ experience spanning consulting, engineering, financial services, and the public sector. I’m also Co-Chair of Switchboard LGBT+ Helpline, where I’ve volunteered since 2014, building platforms that support tens of thousands of people each year.
I joined ParaPride’s Board in September 2025 as Trustee and Secretary, combining my governance experience with a deep commitment to intersectional equality.
As an autistic person with ADHD, I bring lived experience of navigating the world as a neuro-diverse individual. I’m passionate about creating inclusive spaces where LGBTQ+ disabled people can thrive, and about using technology to amplify the voices of marginalised communities.

Intersectionality Awareness Week is, the beginning of a global cultural shift away from diversity and inclusion frameworks that focus on single aspects of identity, and towards a more holistic, compassionate, and open understanding of the people around us.
